This project involved modelling a range of Corbin custom motorbike saddles and backrests for use in an online AR configurator. The different items were scanned and supplied to us for detailed modelling. All modelling and rendering was completed in Modo. We retopologised the models, to get the basic shape and then manually created additional detail. Modelling was kept very clean so the export to online 3D asset was kept as efficient as possible while retaining good detail. Components like the stitching and welts were kept as separate geometry to allow hiding or showing as well as material and colour changes. Within the configurator customers would then be able to select a range of different part combinations and finishes.
However, for these examples, I have rendered static images with a range of different leathers.
